The LINC UJH student team will collaborate with the principal and teachers at Unity Jr High to develop an intramural sports program in such sports as basketball, volleyball, and tennis.  The project has many possibilities and provides a unique opportunity to interact with both teachers and students at a new, rural Jr High. If you like working with kids and enjoy sports, this is the project for you!

Work with UJH students in Accelerated Reading Program

UJH has many students who could benefit from having higher interest books orally read to them. UJH students would be "grouped" according to interest areas.  LINC students would read to these students and then assist them with the Accelerated Reading quiz. 

Work one-on-one with UJS Students in Computer Labs

During lunch, work one or two days a week in the UJH Computer lab and library assisting students with computer projects, etc. in the lab. 

Read books on tapes for classroom collection

Read books onto tapes for classroom collection for special education teacher.
